Eastover Gardens Firehouse #6

Kenbridge Construction is partnering with Henrico County and Samaha Associates, P.C., Architects on the county’s premier design-build fire station, Eastover Gardens Firehouse #6. Kenbridge and Samaha were selected from a select list of general contractor/architect teams to deliver this project.

The 16,306-square-foot facility is being built on a 4-acre site at Millers Lane and Gay Avenue in eastern Henrico. The building will feature three apparatus bays, a day room, kitchen, bunk rooms, offices, and exercise rooms, all designed with state-of-the-art systems and technology.

Opening is targeted for spring 2026.

Sparta Fire Station Groundbreaking

Caroline County officials broke ground on the new Sparta Fire Station on Wednesday, April 24th, 2025. Kenbridge Construction is proud to partner with Caroline County and WW Associates on this project.

The new 10,736-square-foot station will include a four-bay garage, providing updated facilities to better serve the community.

Hanover Fire Station 17 Groundbreaking

Kenbridge Construction project managers joined Hanover County officials and Moseley Architects for the groundbreaking of the new Hanover Fire Station 17 on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. This project marks an important step for Hanover County in expanding its emergency services.

The design-bid-build facility is expected to be completed in December 2024.

Holladay Elementary School Wins 2023 Community Champion Award

Kenbridge Construction is proud to announce that the Holladay Elementary School Expansion was named a Community Champion Award Winner at the 2023 U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Virginia Community Leadership Awards.

Executive Vice President Brandon Spencer attended the awards ceremony on November 16 at J.R. Tucker High School in Henrico, Virginia. The event celebrated projects across the state that demonstrate innovation, sustainability, and positive community impact.

The USGBC Virginia recognizes projects that exemplify high-performance, healthy design, environmental stewardship, and community impact. To qualify, projects must be LEED-certified and located within the USGBC Virginia community territory.

Kenbridge Construction was proud to be part of the project team, working alongside the Henrico County School Board and Moseley Architects to bring the expansion to life.

This award highlights Kenbridge Construction’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and community-focused building practices. Congratulations to all of the 2023 USGBC Virginia award winners and finalists for advancing excellence in design and construction across the Commonwealth.

Kenbridge Construction Celebrates 75 Years

Kenbridge Construction Company, a commercial general contracting company headquartered in Kenbridge, Virginia, is celebrating seventy-five successful years in business. Established in 1948 and formerly known as Kenbridge Manufacturing and Supply Company, the company initially operated a sawmill and a building supply store in addition to its residential construction operation.

Through the years, the company transitioned from residential construction to commercial projects, and today, the company is widely recognized as a leader in the commercial construction industry in Virginia. Kenbridge Construction has built a solid reputation by conducting its business activities fairly, honorably, and respectfully, delivering quality construction projects on time and within budget.

Emory Hodges, President, attributes the company’s success to its employees. Gordon Barbour Elementary School Addition Ribbon Cutting

Kenbridge Construction, in partnership with Stantec Architecture, recently completed the Gordon Barbour Elementary School Addition. Orange County Public Schools celebrated the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Watch Orange County Public Schools’ video of the ribbon cutting.

This design-bid-build project included an 11,879-square-foot addition and an 882-square-foot renovation. The project created six new classrooms and included accessibility and security upgrades to the existing school.
