West Area Elementary School Ground Breaking

Chesterfield County broke ground with Kenbridge Construction and Moseley Architects on the new West Area Elementary School on November 18, 2024. Kenbridge is excited to partner once again with Chesterfield County Public Schools and Moseley Architects on this design-bid-build, two-story, 111,500-square-foot project. Kenbridge Construction was the low bidder out of eight general contractors.

The first floor of the school will house younger grades and special education classrooms, while the second floor will serve older grades. Both floors include conference rooms, teacher workrooms, and offices. The first floor also features a gymnatorium, cafeteria, media center, art room, music room, and STEAM maker space. At the main entrance, a secure vestibule is flanked by administrative offices to ensure safety and accessibility.

Kenbridge Construction has proudly completed many successful projects with Chesterfield County Public Schools, including recent builds such as Crestwood Elementary School, Manchester Middle School, and Beulah Elementary School.
