Kenbridge Construction was honored to donate a new electronic scoreboard to the Lunenburg Girls Softball League in memory of longtime employee Haynie Matthews of Kenbridge, Virginia.

The scoreboard was dedicated during the Opening Ceremonies of the Darlings State Tournament, hosted by the league in Kenbridge. Following the dedication, Haynie’s daughters threw the ceremonial first pitch to begin the tournament.

The Lunenburg Girls Softball League is a Dixie Softball organization serving girls ages 4 to 19 throughout Lunenburg County.

Haynie was part of the Kenbridge Construction family for 33 years. He was known for his hard work, his dedication to the company, and the many years he spent coaching girls softball in our community.

We are proud to help carry on Haynie’s legacy by supporting an organization that meant so much to him. We hope this scoreboard will serve the players, coaches, and families of Lunenburg Girls Softball for many years to come.
